Frame sliders?

How about a sticky for after market parts? The Striple is so new that after market parts are a bit difficult to find.

I've been looking for frame sliders myself and have been striking out. Anybody out their know where I can find them?

I'm in the same boat - looking for frame sliders. Does anyone know if Daytona sliders will work?

R&G Frame Sliders

You're reading my mind Skid. I was thinking the R&G classic style for the Daytona, but I also found these Aero style. Don't care much for the mounting of the Aero style though.

Yep, looks like the Daytona kit from R&G will do the trick. See video of the install.

Also be cautious of frame sliders for the Streety that do not use a bracket for the right side. I'm 5'10 and my knee covers (barely) that right side rear engine mounting bolt that they love to use. If you are 5'10" or more (like me) than you will want a slider that uses a bracket (usually between the two engine mounting bolts) that locates the slider forward a bit (especially the right side which mount is further back than the left). Also be wary of sliders that use a single point bracket (usually an aluminum bar)...This will bend and hit your motor (if the extreme leverage pressure on the single bolt doesn't snap it first). Also keep in mind that the longer the bolt used...the easier it is to snap. Just look at slider and ask yourself.."if my 400 lb bike slams against the ground, will this set-up not bend or create enough leverage pressure to snap the mounting bolt(s)?". Keep that in mind when shopping

Clay, a "sticky for aftermarket parts" is too generic to be practical.

The search feature for this forum will turn up any category of aftermarket part that has already been talked about. In this case, sliders are a new topic for the forum, and as you see, all you had to do was ask in order to get a discussion going.

Hence, I will be giving this thread a new title so it too can be searched easily in future, and maybe attract more responses related to the subject as well.
