Sweet lookin' mount Spiki. And so tenderly looked after. Compliments

(Your pics might have sold me on the white rim tape, BTW)

Seriously great looking bike, and those black/black Pazzo shorties look fantastic.

I know that you were part of a discussion back in February regarding the short clutch lever -- how is that working out now that you have it installed?

Thank you chaps, there is a certain pleasure in bonding with one's ride through the rituals of maintainance

It's fine. With summer gloves it is no issue at all. With thicker gloves it is slightly different but still not an issue. I have noticed that in very heavy traffic with a lot slipping the clutch & the thicker gloves that my left hand got tired. Not tried it with the really thick full on winter gloves & I suspect that it will be difficult to get as much purchase on the lever. I'll have to suck it & see on that one - or just use the Bonnie through the winter !!

Vince, I'm trying Done 250 miles in 8 days so far - just need to find a few more sweeping bends on my daily journey The Dunlop's feel good although I'm still thinking of swapping over to Avon Storms when the current rubber expires.

Hi Spike, excellent mods. I am considering the Storms or the Power Pilots when the time comes. One wee suggestion if I may - have you considered making that stupid warning decal on top of the tank go away? Best, and say "hi" to your cute little co-pilot.

The sticker will come off once I can remember how hard (not) to rev the bike !!

My co-pilot already points at men on bikes and says "daddy", even if I'm standing next to her

Well, the black/black shorties just might be my next addition. I just wish that I had some experience in swapping parts out and in -- not that I begrudge the folks in the service department anything.

Speaking of which, I found your Bonneville project diary inspiring -- and funny.

Initial feelings of emerging competence disappear made me laugh out loud.
