Streety = muscle bike

I've been modifying cars for race since I was 15 yrs old (Dad was an auto restorer and avid fan of MORE power is BETTER). I fell in love with the Streety because it fit me like a glove (I'm a skinny 145 lb 5'10"). I loved the "non-conformist" type naked style (here in the US everything is sportbikes). Being that I am into power vs. weight/size I chose the Streety.
Well just yesterday I pulled up to a Honda dealer just to pick up some chain lube. I parked next to some full faired sport bikes. "Holy jeez" I thought...those things are HUGE! I later found out it was a 600! Yikes! Make no mistake about it...the Triumph Street Triple is a REAL muscle bike. WAY smaller than most others in it's class, lighter, and fast. The guy I parked next to had no familiarity with Triumph and asked me if it was a 400 or 500! I love it. The Streety is a mean little powerhouse in a miniture chasis. A REAL muscle bike

Interesting observation, Ken. I'd never looked at it that way, but it really is more bike in a smaller package than one usually expects to see.

It's a real two wheeled hotrod. No frills, just a hot engine sandwiched into a light frame with only the essential items needed for control. I'm really liking mine.

oddly enough, some envious onlookers have considered my belly-pann-ed and flyscreen-ed striple everything but a 675cc - i suppose its "small package" descriptor lends it towards being akin to a 250; whereas its aggressive muscularity suggests it being a 1000cc!!

with this bike you seriously get the best of both worlds - the nimbleness of something like a 250 (note the comparison to a 250 definitely not being in a derogatory sense!) with the power and growl of something almost near a 1000cc!

not only that, you can ride it in any one of two ways:
1. sensible
2. silly

i love nothing more than tucking down behind the screen and being the latter

My husband has a K7 Suzuki GSXR750 , which to me looks like one of the smaller sports bikes on the market, but when he rode my Street Triple, he couldn't believ how small it is physically. Its size belies its power-maybe it is a wolf in lamb's clothing!

Even though I'm a fairly new rider and have only been on a few bikes. I've only owned 2 so far the latest being my black Striple, the Striple is a gem. It feels as light as my old 250 and has just as much get up and go, more pobably than my friends 04 Honda CB 599 hornet. Which is also a great little bike IMO. And yes I totaly agree that there are 2 ways to ride it. Sensibly or Silly.
I'm still being easy with her since I only have a little over 300 miles on her and am going through the break in process. But **** does she just want to get up a run. This is a bike that can deffinitly grow with my abilities as I ride her over the next few years. And I love the looks she gets from people. Most guys my age here in the states are caught up in the sportbike phenomenon and my little nonconformist striple gets all the looks and questions. I love it. She's small with an attitude!!!

...for building muscles!

Aye, the Striple is a muscle bike.

Once you start using the upper end of the rev range, you'll find that you'll have to build up muscles just to hold on.

Most guys at the dealership initially mistake it for a Speed Triple when I pull in and park it. There's another bike who's size belies its true nature and another hotrod for sure.
