She'd here!

Hello Gents

I've been lurking here for 3 or 4 months collecting feedback on the striple. I fell in love when I first saw one last summer and thought this would be the perfect place to get good first hand info. After the holidays I put a deposit down on a black one. I was originally going to wait until later in the year but the dealer said he only had 4 alloted for the year and two were sold. So, my wait hasn't been nearly as bad as most of you.

I picked her up on Saturday and all I can say is.... I'm speechless. This is a beautiful bike. So smooth, so much torque, so responsive. This bike rocks. It is as close to perfect as I could expect. I've spent every spare minute on her and, yes, I have this stupid grin plastered on my face permanently. I did manage to take time to transfer my CRG barend mirrors from my SV and I have ordered Rizoma sportline grips. I also had to order an Axio hardpak tailbag because I need a place to store my tool roll, ear plugs and visor wipe. When I get these done I'll post some pics.

I wanted to take a few minutes to thank all the posters on here. You guys have been an invaluable source of info.

Ride hard, ride safe
Paul

The Axio hard top tail bag is an excellent choice (the BEST, in my opinion, for sportbikes). That bag will also work over a seat cowl as well and look darn good. Its not too big, yet big enough to to carry a REASONABLE amount, yet small and sleek enough to sort of blend in. That's the next item on my list. Do post pics of it on your bike!!

"Speechless"... and it took you no less than 12 lines to say so, terraplaneblues

I know the feeling.

Heaps of congrats to you. Best. Jamie

Congrats, I've had mine since Sept. (Black of course) The smile problem only gets worse with time. Throw on the Arrow 3/1 lowboy and enjoy the sound and feel the pull. Enjoy

I got my bike last month too, sadly only got 250 miles done on it because of the crappy weather. Still loved every mile of it, just have to wait another 8 days before i am home so i can give it some more.

Yes Mr Triumph i have been sticking to the required run in procedure..... 'ish

I've had mine since late January. Only 300 miles on mine. I only have ONE day a week I can ride (due to work schedule) as it's stored safely in a garage (the parents house) about an hour and a half away! And even that ONE day is "weather permitting". Grr. But fear not...summer's almost here and almost EVERY day will a riding day! You got it in the nick of time...you'll have time to break it in before the daily summer riding season starts! Perfect! Congrats on the new bike (and the perfect timing!)
