Question Pulsating Triple

Just wondering if anyone else is having the same thing going on with their Street Triple. So the story goes as such; last week out of the blue I was traveling at a constant 50 MPH when the bike started to make a rhythmic vibration (just hit 300 miles on my bike). Almost as if it was trying to communicate to me in Morse code. The vibration would go as such, nothing for about two seconds then three short quick pulses then repeat over. Vibrations were strong enough to go throughout the whole bike (seat, handle bars, mirrors...). This is not a violent vibration but odd enough to make me concerned (sense it was never there before). So I started to play around with different gears, speeds and roads. My bike will make the same vibration traveling at 40 to 55 MPH no mater what gear I am in.

I called down to my local Triumph dealer told them the situation and they asked me to bring my bike in. Due to the fact that it fell withing the VIN range for a new rear shock. They replaced the shock took it for a test ride and told me it was golden, nothing wrong. However I still notice the vibration. So I had a buddy of mine take the bike out and he noticed it too.

So has anyone else come across this? Or does anyone have an idea of what to look for? Could I have defective tires? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

James

Tire balance? Check to see if the balance weights are still in place.

Yeah I check that too. I could not see any areas on the rim (front and rear) where a weight may have come off. Also checked the chain tension and all mounting hardware for the front and rear wheels.

I, too, have just hit 300 miles (US). I have a similar deal but mines not so much a "noise" as a "thrum". At around 50 mph I get a pulsating throbbing feel on the bars and the motor makes a "thruming" noise, almost rythmic. I ignore it as it doesn't affect my performance and goes away when I change the speeds. I figure it's still breaking in, so I'll give it time to work out all the kinks.
