Striple Clip-ons?

Has anybody onsidered putting clip-ons like the Daytona has? Could you do it with the forks on the Striple? (dont really have much experience with GOOD bikes so this upgrading thing is still new to me. Im just used to working like hell to keep my Yamaha running!! LOL)

BLASPHEMY!! Lol...You're probably not going to find a Streety owner here who would EVER consider putting "clip-ons" on his/her bike! The whole appeal of the Streety is that it is a good "street fighter"! Why would you want to go and take a bike that has been altered to fit the "street fighter" crowd with a pair of "clip ons" (thus turning it back into a "race" style bike)?? If you like the naked look, but want clip on style ride...get a daytona and strip it. Even if you like the more relaxed pegs...they are easily available (under $130 USD). But for god's sake...don't get a Streety and convert it to a "race" style bike! Basphemy!!

Adding Irony to Blasphemy

The irony is that the first Speed Triple model (have forgotten when that was.... late 90's?) had clip-ons ex-factory. And dealer/customer outrage eventually forced Triumph to replace them with the current one-piece bar as std equipment. Clip-ons became an extra cost option which, from memory, no one ever ordered. Exclamation I'm going directly to hell...

When I was purchasing my bike I was about to purchase a Thruxton, then the striple was announced.

So, performance and price sold me on the striple (Sue is her name).

What I was looking for in a bike was made in the UK and no plastic (ie fairing).

Therefore "cafe-ing" my striple - maybe clipons or flat bars, bar end mirrors and removing as much plastic as possible is the next step... this will not (I believe) make it a "race style" bike, but more the bike I imagine when I think of Sue.

What got me originally on nekkid trumpets was a (Black) Speed3 with bar end mirrors and clipons...

(at the moment Sue is bone stock, I am awaiting a grab rail, rear hugger & tank pad - i know the rear hugger isn't terribly "cafe" or whatever but it will allow me to take more plastic from the tail without getting gunk over my girlfriends back whist riding...)

Would it be wrong to put ape hangers on a striple?
