I'm considering it too. I like the looks of the LSL speed triple with clipons. It would sure help during long high way trips. My girlfriend used to ride a Speed Four (wich has clipons) and that worked pretty well, at higher speeds especially...

But i do like the bars also, the leverage makes for light steering and it gives you a good view of traffic around you.

Hope to see some pics and details as soon as somebody has done it.

Here's a video of a Speedy with clip-ons. I think it looks pretty bad***.

A SV650 I bought several years ago came with Clubman bars: http://www.airtech-streamlining.com/...andlebars.html
It's the cheapest and easiest way to get clip-on position (although non adjustable) on a bike rigged for regular handlebar.

Otherwise you could buy a Daytona 675 top triple clamp and a set of clip ons of your choice.
It should not be too much trouble to implement the mod.

It is generally easier to retrofit clip-ons to a bike equiped with regular handlebars than the other way around (cable lenght/hydraulic lines might be a tad short).

Spiegler USA imports the LSL kits for people going the other way around (clip ons to handlebar).
They're cool because they include the lines/cables if needed: http://www.spieglerusa.com/cfm/sbk.cfm

Flipping regular bars does not really work as it results in a pretty awkward position most of the time (and sometimes the bars might interfere with the top triple anyways).

Clip ons are a pain in the wrists... at least for me. One reason the Street caught my attention was the riding position. Much more comfortable for my going on 60 body than a sport bike and nearly as fast... which to say plenty fast.

Well I think that is a little over the edge. I would guess there are plenty of people that like the performance, feel, handling of full out racebikes, but like the looks of a naked bike. That is how I got into a Speed Four, I honestly thought that handlebars looks bad on nice bikes, and preferred the look of clip-ons. Now I would prefer to have handlebars and the slightly more upright riding position, but if I was able to spend more time on the track I would prefer the clip-ons.

for example:

(if this works) this is what a bike should look like (as far as i'm concerened)

What I intend to do is to mount the indicators to the pillion pegs. Keep Sue as minimal as is functional.

THIS IS NOT MY BIKE!!!

this is however what I am aiming for with my bike

I agree, that is what a naked bike looks like in my mind. Awesome job!

exactly! Looks perfect!
Thats also why i cant settle for the dual pipes. It needs a small low-mount. Shame you can only get them as a full system.

I'm not to sure about removing the duo pegs...
Had a small incident a few days ago (i will not give details), let me tell you this. You wont find better protection for you tail than those pegs. Not a scratch on the plastics or pipes.
