Other Motorcycle: I wish
Yes

I have a Ventura rack on my Sprint with both the Pack rack and Sportpack.

Above is Sport Pack

Link below is Normal packrack frame with the larger RJAYs bag on which also fits perfectly.

They should be available for your bike from any reputable bike shop.
Mine is from the Team Moto shop in North Brisbane.

I have the normal Ventura pack as well as the larger RJays bag which is expandable and BIG.

gday gday there crazycam!

a ventura rack? i can only wish! i used to have a seat bag on my old bike, but now i've had to resort to exercising my squishing-squashing-folding techniques in conjunction with a little rjays backpack again.

the pseudo-rack in my latest bike pics is quite possibly a crafty shadow of my letterbox ... (!)

bring on the ventura racks here in oz, i say!

btw give me a yell if you're still up for a good weekend blat around sydney! have bike ... more than willing to travel! shiny bike, twisty roads, good sunshine - not much more to be wanting!

They are in the country kids. I saw a black street fitted with the ventura last wednesday. Just as well it's practical beyond mention because it was so ugly!!!! I decided to go without... brought a Kreiga 25 instead.

Well, I went to my bike mechanic's place, he phoned Ventura's local agent, and was told that they are a back order item, and will be available in about four weeks.

They (Ventura) are doing this business of you having to supply a makers tag from a bag, otherwise they won't just sell the frame.

It's a pain, since I already have one Ventura bag, probably want a second one, but won't know which one until I see the rack fitted.

In the meantime, have solved the wet-weather gear, smokes and hat, problem with a $7 kids rucksack, carefully sat on the pillion seat.

As far as a ride goes, because of advancing years and bone idleness, I no longer work, so I tend to do most of my riding mid-week.
(Less cops about on the twisties!)

Weekends, I do have some domestic duties, and coastguarding commitments, but could easily be tempted for a run out to Mudgee or some such on a Sunday, perhaps the 16th of March, to get in before the double fly-buys are on offer?

No problems, m8.

The "golden rule" I have discovered about internet arranged motorcycle rides is that you say when, where, to where, etc. and then relax and do it anyway.

Nobody shows up, doesn't matter, you've had a nice ride anyway.

at the back of my head i was kinda thinking the ventura rack, though functional and enabling me to tote around broccoli without squashing the delicate florets, would somewhat destroy the streamlined aerodynamics of my sporty friend

it's truly comforting and prideworthy to know that my little green streety may have even convinced a deadset dirtbiker rider friend of mine to start road riding

as far as rides are concerned, anywhere, anytime, any excuse is fine! the weekend of the 15-16th march is fine by me albeit it feels like ages away

then again, has a ventura rack actually ever improved the look of any bike at all? there's been worse i suppose, but functionality comes at a cost ...

The V-Racks can look ok on the Sprint as well as most other sport / tourers....

I also suffer from crushed broccoli syndrome... the rack would help as much as wet weather gear - Good if you bothered to take it! In the case of the V-rack on the Street I feel it is so ugly I couldnt bring myself to leave it fitted to the bike.

Personally I think I will fit a tail bag instead, I know it isn't as big but I have always been told that it is not the size that counts.

Check out www.kriega.com.au I bought the R25 and it is unbeleiveably good... I can add a US20 tail pack and still have paid less that for a V-rack and I will get way more use from them... Seeing how thanks go I could build it up with a US10 or two if I was planning some big trips. This would give me to more capacity than the Ventura. AND retain some style!
