Hey

The headlamp is from a Yamaha MT-03 which I then got painted pearl Fusion White. Triumph Fusion white with pearl white on top of that. My intension was to get the whole bike painted pearl white, but it has to wait until next winter.

What's The Top Speed For Street Triple?

Hi all

Pardon me if I've failed to find a thread on this. Just like to find out what's the speed limit that you have taken your ride to before you chicken out.

Cheers!

If I remember correctly I read in one magazine that they clocked 134 on a Street Triple and an 11.03, 121mph in the quarter mile. That's all a moot point on an open bike like the little Street. I've noticed no stability issues on my bike at high speed, but I doubt I'll ever push her to the max. It's not a matter of being chicken, there's just too much can go wrong on a public road to be trying for the top end. A simple pothole, debris, oil from one of the many junkers out there every day, or who knows what and it all comes to a hard end. It's nice to know your bike could do it if need be on a track day. As strapped for cash as most states in the west are they would seriously damage your wallet for getting caught doing triple digits. Besides, I like my license which would get pulled in a heartbeat.

My son had 142 and claims it was at or near red line. I haven't asked if he has managed a better run, because he might be reluctant to tell me now after I had a long talk with him about the dangers of going that fast on the ****ty roads out here.

Reportly, 186,282 miles per second. Of course that is only if you have a white one. Personally, I have wisely decided not to attempt that number. The black and green ones seem to only do 143 mph by the speedo which is probably somewhere in the actual mid-130's. Don't think I need to risk that one either.

After correcting for speedo error(6%) with both flyscreens, and arrow 3-1.

143mph flat out.

I checked my readout when my bike came back from the tuner and it had 152mph saved on the gauge.
