The wind blast is likely the main thing that'll slow you down. I tested on a clear, windless day and a quiet country road and reached that speed pretty easily, even if I found it hard to actually *read* the speedo! I've since tried finding the top end of my speed triple and was stopped at 139mph by a brisk headwind. The blast is something you get used to, but on windy days (like today) it gets uncomfortable at noticeably slower speeds. Likely I'll be under 3 figures on the way home
And that's why you don't buy a bike unless its still in the crate and it was ordered by you.

Best I've got was, according to trip computer, 221kph, which should be 210 kph with the speedo error accounted for.

That was on the rev. limiter for 5th, and 6th didn't show any signs of acceleration, before turn 1 caused a bit of a rethink.

130mph is pretty respectable on a 675cc naked bike. The wind blast gets to be a big factor when you hit high speeds. I was on a country road the other day and got a little carried away with the throttle. I was pushing 95mph before I knew it and suddenly had the feeling I should slow it down. I had no sooner gotten close to the posted speed limit when what should appear as I rounded a wide bend in the road? None other than a county sheriff coming at me from the opposite direction. Thank goodness for a mental radar detector, or he surely would had pulled a U turn and tagged me. The bike is so quick and gets up to speed with little effort. It could be a citation waiting to happen if one isn't careful.

Cool

Hit 144 in 5th last night, It was late at night and there were no cars on the highway. I was on my way home and cruising very comfortibly in 6th doing about 70. I knew the highway and I was coming up on a stretch that was a few miles long and thought "what the hell" so I down shifted to 5th and in I figure I was doing about 140 in about 10 to 15 seconds, I glanced down at the speedo and saw 143. Then I slowed down, not because I was out of running room but because I figured that was fast enough for me. Not much acceleration past that in 6th, although I think top end would be between 155 and 160.

Topspeed

Hey there

Just wanted to add my topspeed to the list.

253kmh in 6th gear in the limiter!!! about 158mph!!

This was actualy a problem since it was hitting the limiter a lot. So I have changed the front sprocket to a 17T instead of the original 16T. I run a 520 chain conversion. I can still run it on to the limiter in 6th gear. But not as easy as with the original gearing.

I actualy calculated that this is quite close to actual speed. When you calculate the gear ratio and final drive together with how far the wheel travels per rpm's. It should be about 160mph???

Yeah my friends and I figured about 155 to 160MPH would be the top speed.
