Spec Question from a Newbie

Hi all
Just picked up my new street triple yesterday so I thought I'd say hello and maybe ask a quick question about my new bike.

I live in Thailand and was told by my dealer that my bike would be a European or Australian spec bike but after picking it up yesterday it looks as though it's a US spec bike. Is there any difference in the bikes with regard to engine/performance specs?

Thanks in advance for the info....great site BTW.
Cheers
Andy

All I can think of is emissions requirements off hand.

Actually, there's no difference between European and US spec, except for a few minor differences in reflector and signal light requirements. I've compared the UK, French, German, and Spanish performance specifications with the US version, and they are virtually identical.

Couldn't say about Australia, though. Their website does not currently display specs for the Street Triple.

Since the speedo is digital and can be switched from KPH to MPH that's no help!

Have you registered the bike with Triumph? That can be done via the website after which you might be aable to get some info from them based on the chassis number (but do you really care enough to burn money calling them - They don't seem to be contactable via e-mail)!
