Coolant Leaks and Loose Hoses

Just a word of caution. After riding a bit the other day I parked the bike in my garage and came back out to grab my helmet. There under the bike was a small puddle of coolant. It turns out one of the hose clamps was loose from the factory. I dutifully worked my way around the bike looking for any other miscreants and checked the coolant level on the engine had cooled down and all was well. I then started to check for oil weeps and loose hardware. Since the weather is crap I have plenty of time to look around just to be safe. Just a word of caution. Our beloved crew at Hinkley are not above the occasional screw up so keep your eyes peeled.

Thanks for that. I guess I'll be checking over the whole bike when I get home tonight. I don't expect anything though as the bike has been sitting on a lift for nearly a month and there aren't any spots on the cardboard underneath. It is a good reminder though, to look over the whole bike before and after a ride.
