Finally, I received the much awaited message from Tia. My Street Triple is on it's merry way to my dealer. That only took 4 1/2 months from the time I placed my deposit on the bike. All that aside she made my day with a simple email message. Now as long as the truck doesn't get lost I should be seeing my roulette green machine in about 10-14 days. The only downside is the weather, but weather is generally a downer in Washington State no matter the time of year. It just happens to be a cold rain in December rather than a cool rain in June. This is just a post showing there is hope for those still waiting to take delivery before the new year. Does anyone know how many units are shipping to the US for 2008? Just curious.

I got the email from Tia as well The bike should be here in 2-4 days.

Now it's time to shop for insurance.

So far got $1144 from Foremost, 630 from Progressive and $343 from Dairyland.

Still a couple more to check.

I haven't even shopped for insurance yet. Right now I have full coverage on 2 bikes for about $700/yr. I'm an old geezer so I don't expect the Street Trip to cost me much more than my big displacement tourer. I'll be calling my agent on Monday. This should be interesting.
