Rear Carry Rack

Has anyone seen or designed what I'll call a utility carry plate that would mount on/above the rear passenger area of the seat. I'm used to lashing things on that spot on my old SV650 and want the same ability with my new Streple. I've been looking at the two exposed mount points for the seat cover, they'd provide good front attachment points, but I haven't come up with a suitable rear hard point. I want to attach this without drilling into any exposed part of the tail section.

There are a lot of questions on this sort of thing, and as yet there is nothing available.

My design for a rear rack is moving along. I'm using the 2 - 5mm hard points on the side of the seat just forward of the grab strap, bridging that with a machined lateral brace. At the aft, under the seat I'm using the 2 - 6mm bolts that bolt into the subframe. It's a triangular piece that comes out under the seat and provides a single mounting point, so the aluminum plate that will form the rack will be well supported for moderate loads. I'll also have some lashing posts under the plate to accept bungees or whatever. Pixs as soon as I get the front brace finished (roughed out presently). The rack plate will have to wait for me to source some stock or we do a job in the shop that involves said material.
