There have been a few quality issues with Triumph's lately. Are they sourcing too many cheaper components to keep costs down?

No Free Lunch

Price-wise, Triumph wanted the Street to be head-on with Honda's 600 Hornet. In many countries, list prices are actually about the same. Well done Triumph .

But, unfortunately, the Street's conspicuously "cheap" rear shock is soon gonna become public knowledge and... chastised as the flip side of cost management :

My solution? A Daytona 675 shock swap, as already posted. A bit... costly. But worth it.

Jamie.

Out of interest what are the rear shock options and price differences. Anyone have any ideas what a stock Daytona shock would be to Joe Public or and Ohlins one?

Other options?...

Forse Matris produrrà una parte di ricambio. Quella sarebbe una buona cosa. Quanto largamente è sparso il problema?

or in english. . .

So it would seem that this problem with the rear shock is common and can be replaced with the daytona one? Have any of you tribe the olins?
