"Strippy" arrived home today but the camera batteries were dead - Oh bugger!

Off to the shops for some Duracells!

Later....

By the time I got back home with some batteries it was too dark to take a decent photo outside so that's tomorrows job! ;-)

They are certainly a nice bunch of blokes down there and very helpful too. I am really pleased with their service and will definately be going back there in future.

Right now I am trying to learn all the features of the immobiliser (which is a feat I can tell you)!

The big rides lovely. No problems with throttle response or the hardness of the seat although the suspesion is clearly budget even compared with my old SV650. But overall the bike is way more fun.

I rode around some backroads and even over a few speed bumps as I went through this little village. Quite a laugh!

I'm finding it hard to stick to 5,000 RPM. WIll be glad when I can get up to something more realistic but until then I will be sticking to the backroads because major roads are a bit embarassing (I feel like I'm 16 years old on a 50cc all over again).

No quibbles but lots of giggles. Hope the sun is shining so I can get some nice pics tomorrow!

Well here are some more images though the inclement weather spoilt the "photo shoot" however a nice old chap passing by took some time to chat about his experiences with bikes during the war.

He was talking about "twist grip throttles" as a new fangled invention and was impressed by the twin front brake discs!!! How times change.

ANyway, here are a few snaps of my new ride before I wheeled her back intot he warm /dry garage:
http://www.stormbroke.talktalk.net/strippy.htm

You will notice that I tried to get a decent picture of the rear hugger which seems langer than I remember it being in other photos and certaily man enough for the job in my opinion. I'd like to add the undertray later and I need to rig up the connector for the Optimate (battery optimiser).

More soon.
