First service..

My bike's booked in for it's first service on Saturday, I think the labour is free but have to pay for oil+ filter,? also going to get them to reduce the rear preload by a notch or two and get them to take up most of the slack in the throttle cable aswell ,as at the moment it's terrible, I go to blip the throttle when changing down and it doesn't move the revs at all as there's sooo much slack in it!. Finally my flyscreen has arrived, going to get them to fit that also.Looking forward to a colourfull ride home, lighting up the blue led's and visiting the redline, bring it on.

Mine's booked in 9am tomorrow. You're right, no labour on the first service

I have the same problem with the throttle, going to ask about that, it's awful at the moment.

As for the suspension, I am now becoming increasingly dissapointed with it. I am a heavier rider, 14st6lb, and as I've been opening it up more towards 8K, the cornering is so snatchy. I've got no chicken strips now, generally its cornering is very good, but my rear tyre is becoming very rough on the edges, indicating something is not right.

Ha anyone else experienced any issues with the suspension? I am being picky I know, I mean you get what you pay for, but it is not suitable for me. I am going to have the forks modified (they are a little sloppy in my opinion), and where I really want a different exhaust, I am going to have to save this money to replace the rear shock.

Generally, around town its fine, but now I'm pushing it a bit on twisty roads, I'm starting to really dislike the handling. I'm well over the 'target rider', and I'm 6'2", so sure this doesn't help matters, and think the majority of you will be fine with the standard settings.

I will discuss this further tomorrow during in my first service, and let you know how I get on.

Cheers,

Vince.

Vince, I'm a light weight 10.5 stone-ish, 5ft 6-ish and the suspension does seem a little firm to me, my 05 gixer never seemed this harsh. I've not got right to the edge of the tyre yet, a couple of mill left as it's been fairly cold and had a couple of bad moments on Dunlops in the past!
What exhaust are you going to go for? I haven't seen too many about yet, I don't know wether to stick with the two cans or go for a single low mount one.
So far though I'm loving the bike

oh - I had a link to their website : http://www.sitogroup.com/servlet/pag...tmp=&sessione=

but on their sound clip I thought they might be a bit too high pitched / revvy. The YouTube clip does make them sound good though.

I've not decided on cans yet, but I will be keeping with the underseat cans.

I do not like the Leo Vinci ones, or the BOS ones I have seen so far. I do like the look of the arrow ones, so will be waiting for other company's to produce something similar (I expect the arrows will be very expensive)

I'll let you all know if I have any developments with the suspension.

I have the tyres right off the edge, and to be honest, they do cope very well, even in these cold conditions. I do have the problem of the rubber rolling on the edges (can't think of the correct phrase), but can only put this down to the rear shock.

I like the look of the twin Arrow cans but like you i guess they will be expensive, i also like the Arrow low-boy, but i will need to see one and more importantly hear one in the flesh before i part with £750
