Talking White Striple has arrived!!

I picked up my White Street Triple late Friday. As it was turning cold and dark I only rode it home, about 9 miles. As I had ridden the dealers demo about 200 miles I was pleased there were no surprises. Still waiting for the flyscreen and the seat cowl.
I got out on Sat for about 20 miles to and from work then decided it was time to get the wrenches out. I removed the passenger peg brackets to give it a lighter appearance then installed connectors for heated clothing and a Battery Tender.
I rode nearly 100 miles on Sunday mostly around town to get used to the seat height (I'm 5'4" w/28" inseam) to practice stopping and starting smoothly.
What a machine! I just love this bike. It's probably 110 lbs lighter than my Bonneville so it's almost like riding a dirtbike.
The dealer demo weight is down to an estimated 375 lbs with the pass peg brackets removed and the Arrow exhaust system. You can really feel the difference just pushing it out of a parking spot. I think I'll need to add that to my Christmas list.
Congrats to all of you who got theirs, for the rest of you, I'm sure it will be worth the wait. Now I only hope I can get a few hundred more miles on it before the Michigan winter sets in.

I'm told mine will be at the dealer for collection some time this week.

My son wants a Nintendo WII for Christmas. It's just one long wait after another!!!!

Congrats on the bike mate, you'll love it. There seems to be a lot of white striples so far, i thought green and black would be the most popular choices. I might get mine sprayed up a different colour, any suggestions?

doggy675, why not bright yellow, or Porche Guards Red, it is a very bright red. (too much like Ducati)?
My old Honda VFR750F was resprayed Ducati fly yellow. It looked pretty good in yellow. However my yellow 72 Pantera used to attract bees like crazy. I painted my 71 Pantera Porche Grand Prix white with Martini & Rossi striping. I really liked that.
At least with the fusion white I can get my old red/white/blue leathers back out.

Hi Bradley,
My wife has a black one coming in Feb. and we're concerned about the height of the bike. When you say you have a 28" inseam, is that to the floor, or the size pants you wear? How much of your feet can you get on the ground, and how does the Striple compare to your Bonneville in seat height (was your Bonnie lowered). We've never seen the Striple in person, and are concerned about the height, so any info you could give us would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, and enjoy,
Dave

BradleyJ, bright red would be good, perhaps with gold wheels to go with the forks and brakes?
dgilmore i'm about 5ft 5in and 67kg, 30in inside leg and can get both feet on the floor OK, plus the bike is real light so only putting one foot down and balancing the bike isn't a problem.
