Street Triple review roundup
Hi all,
I've been spending my time reading and re-reading every review I can, to help with the 6 month wait for delivery of my black ST.
So far I've found the following articles in British magazines:
Motorcycle Sport & Leisure September 2007 - Street Triple test ride. Quote: "The Street Triple follows in its sports bike sister's tyre tracks in reinventing the way we think about middleweight naked bikes. It sets a new benchmark for the category ..."
SuperBike September 2007 - 1st Ride on the Street Triple. This issue also contains a comparison of the Kawasaki Z750, Yamaha FZ6 & Honda CB600F. The winner of this group test goes on to face the Street & the Aprilia Shiver SL750 in a future issue. Quote: "...The Street Triple makes its Speed Triple brother feel like a lardy old bus..."
SuperBike November 2007 - The Big Test Naked Middleweights II, Street Triple, Aprilia Shiver & Honda Hornet. Quote: "The engine is superior to its rivals in terms of outright power, and because the delivery is so fluid it defies the laws of mechanics."
Fast Bikes November 2007 - A comparison of the Street Triple v Daytona 675. Quote: "Sure the Daytona is the faster of the two 675s, and it will pull away on an open enough road, but we were astonished to find that we'd always rather be chasing and having more fun on a Street Trip".
Bike December 2007 - Naked Street Fight between Street, Honda Hornet, Kawasaki Z750, Yamaha FZ6 & Suzuki GSR600. Quote: "...the most capable - and more importantly, most fun - is the Street Triple."
Ride December 2007 - A ride through Northumberland on a Street Triple and a Suzuki B-King. This article is more about the ride route than the bikes, but it does have a round up of the two bikes performance over the couple of days. Quote: "Emma is understandably trailing on the B-King, which is twice the price and double the size. I'm relieved that my luggage is strapped to the Triple and I have this one last chance to play to restore my passion. Even the 250 miles or so of the A1 that lie ahead can't lower my mood now. This is the most infectious bike I've ever ridden."
I'm sure there must be more articles out there, both print and web based. Has anybody got any links etc they can share? Any morsels to feed a starving dog?
Andy
