Yet Another Comparo
This time, from the Swiss weekly MotorSport Schweiz/MotoSport Suisse, measured against Honda's CB600F Hornet.
* Measured HP: 99 @ 11900 rpm's versus 96 @ 11800
* Torque: 64 Nm @8200 rpm's vs 61 Nm @ 10300
* Chassis, roadholding, brakes, etc: About equal, overall. The Hornet's leads braking-wise, though, owing to ABS ( std in Switz.)
* Price: Equal @ CHF 11'500 !
Commentary (excerpts) : Triumph's engine is impressive. At 6000 rpm's it produces 10 more ponies than the Honda, a 25% advantage one can feel. (Numbers aside...) Triumph's power delivery from low rpm's is extraordinary. If you want PLEASURE, take the Triumph, although the Honda might be better if you are more interested in day-to-day usage.
Triumph's PROS: Almost everything, including a truly distinct styling
Triumph's CONS: Hard seat, turning circle, hard to read instrument panel.
