Street Triple Tool Kit?
My Street 3 came with no tool kit under the seat, just an allen key and a tank prop. The handbook mentions a tool kit under the seat but my dealer says it is just the allen key and tank prop and that there isn't anything else. Anybody know please?

Yes but it is a fully featured tool kit, you can use both ends of the Allen wrench :-)

Manx', does it look to you as if there's enough room under there for a person to put together a small conventional tool pouch?

Thanks to everyone for their swift help. Upstart, for the magazine article and Diego, yes it looks like there would be room for someone to make a little tool kit up. Hoe=wever, as I am a girl I am probably better off putting my phone in there so I can call for help, as I wouldn't really know what to do with a tool kit anyway! I am hopeless and probably will now have every feminist screaming! But hey, I'm married to an engineer.

Oh my. That's two strikes against you, right there.
(I say that as an engineer myself.)

This seems to be a trend for a lot of companies. When I bought my RC51 last year my toolkit was pretty bare bones and I asked the dealer and he said that Honda had done a survey of owners about which tools they use the most. Turns out most people don't do much work on their bikes & NEVER used them, so they pared it down to a few (not very useful as far as I was concerned) tools. Looking at the microfilm, the 2005s came with a full toolkit and the 06s with the "lite" toolkit. I got a complete one on eBay for cheap since I like to have tools on me if I can. Obviously there is no previous version of the street triple, but perhaps the Daytona 675 tool kit is similar? Not owning either bike I have no idea, but I'm not a big fan of this trend...

My experience of the toolkits that come with bikes is they are made of Cheese anyway, and as such are useless, so if you want to carry some tools in case you need to tinker with the bike while on the road you are better of putting your own kit together

I think it should at least come with the means to get the wheels out and adjust the suspension.
Wheels so that if you get a puncture, at least someone can give you a lift somewhere to get it fixed.
Suspension, even if it's only the pre-load, you need to tweek it when picking up a passenger.
My Tiger? I've had to add sockets & a handle to enable me to extract the wheels.
Incidently, what's the allen key for?
