Some show and tell bikes in US

My dealer in houston is going to have one on the 20th (well 21st, because they are closed monday). Show and tell only. No demo, and he was going to take his sweet time selling it. (I read that to mean, if the price was right, he'd sell it...but I could be wrong)

Some others have mentioned on the other site that other dealers are going to have one as well. Might be worth a call if you want to see one in the flesh. I know I have something to do after work tuesday.

i'm waiting for the accessory prices to come out before I put down my deposit. I want to negotiate the full OTD price before I smack my money down.

The way Triumph ships new accesories, you better make sure of availability before you buy. A new set of fat bars for my Speed Triple took over 11 months to ship.

I imagine many of the goodies won't be available until later in the year. Initially I'm looking at the fly screen and visor. According to my dealer they won't be an issue. For the Arrow slip on cans we're looking at later in the new year.

It might not be so much later, in fact. I hear an Arrow 3-into-1 should be ready very soon (but expensive).

Arrow slip-on replacement cans are also in the works. These are supposedly going to be street-legal, but according to Triumph's UK accessories page, have not been through the certification process yet. No louder, not a lot less back pressure, but they're supposed to be half the weight of the factory silencers.

on the triumph factory site, if you fib a little and pick the UK site, you can go to accessories, and they have them ALL listed for the street triple, with costs in Pounds. The pipe is I think $1500 US. All of the little plastic add-ons add to the price significantly. It gets into italian territory fast. That's ok...this bike looks like it will still make an air cooled monster's tailpipe go limp.

Of course that doesn't say anything about availability...just ball park cost. Sigh...do I really NEED a tail cowl? Do I need a loud low-slung exhaust that takes 20 lbs off the tail....yes...yes i do...darn it.
