Update from my dealer

Had a call from the dealer today

My bike will be bike 24 scheduled to be on the production line mid Sept with delivery end of Sept

Can't wait

Not to sure what they meant by 24, does that mean the 24th production street for a customer rather than test mules and dealers demo bikes

Bike 24 on the production line! You are getting an early one. I had a low reservation number when I bought the 675. I was 34 or so on the list in the USA, but Triumph built them in batches starting with red. Mine was yellow, so it took a while longer. I don't know what production number it is, and I don't even know how to figure it out. The serial number leads me to believe it was one of the first 800 or 900, but that isn't so early. There is a guy in Arizona whose bike has a serial number ending in 0002 if I remember right. I assume that makes it the second off the assembly line, but only some clerk in the factory knows for sure.

What color did you order?

They are talking about a December release in Oz.They obviously think they are going to sell more than they can make or they re putting them on a really slow boat.

I was at my dealer today here in New Jersey, U.S. of A. and he mentioned that he wouldn't be getting any Street Triples on the floor until late into the year...maybe November. Not much earlier than OZ... so don't feel bad, "amanger".

We're all in line behind the UK & Europe.

I`ve had the same story. I think I`ll be lucky to see one before Jan 08, if Triumph`s past performance is anything to go by.

How much are you paying for your Street Triple?

In the UK I have been quoted £5349 (that's about US$10,600 I think)

Anyone know what it costs in the US (I have read under US$8000 but I'd appreciate confirmation)

Sausage.

$7999 plus tax, title, inspection, shipping, assembly...if you don't bargain any of that it gets up around $9200 pretty quick. That's the first quote my dealer gave me at least. I'm working on him still.

Thanks for the info! Excuse my ignorance but is the Triumph you will buy in the US made in England or are there factories building them elsewhere in the world?

They're all made in England to my knowledge.
