Who's going to bite first!

The Street Triple Forum is Open. Moderation support will come from myself and existing 675 and Speed Triple Moderators until the group comes together.

Fantastic! Thank you, Shawn.

Am on my way to my dealer tomorrow to give them a deposit, so it was an extra special treat to see this forum when I checked in tonight. I consider it a favorable omen.

This thread may be a bit skinny until we can get our hands on the actual bike. I've already put money down on a roulette green and can't wait to take delivery. It's just too bad Triumph won't be shipping until October. Doesn't leave much riding time before the really crappy weather sets in.

According to our dealer, my wife has the first depost down on the new ST3. We're looking forward to them getting their demo, as she's promised the first test ride.

I'll take sloppy seconds!

I have family in Cumming. The kids want me to bring the Street Triple out when I visit them. North Georgia has some nice roads and beautiful scenery so it is tempting to trail it behind the van and get in some riding time. Might be nice to drag it north into East Tennessee and North Carolina. Used to ride an old shovelhead all through the mid-south and south east years ago. It'd be a hoot to do it again, only this time on a bike that handles really well.

Yikes! That's a long drive frm WA. But yes, I do love the roads around here...especially having come from MI (11 turns in 326 Miles).

I've visited North Oregon and Southern WA, and recall you have some really nice scenery there too.

Magazine article

Hi all,

Got my copy of (Australian) Two Wheels mag yesterday and they have a great article on the Street Triple. Their web site is www.twowheels.com.au from memory. The bike looks ****ed good. Does it go as well as it looks?

New to this company / forum.

I Just traded my Suzuki SV650s for the "Sweet" Triple but like most of you I'm waiting in line.

If you want to know how I compared the ST675 to my SV you can read my thoughts here: http://www.triumphrat.net/showthread.php?t=60795&page=2

I was really impressed with the bike and had gone to the dealer with full intention of buying a Speed Triple 1050 so was quite surprised that I preferred the Street but it seemed the sensible choice.

Myabe off topic... My bike should (hopefully) arrive around the middle of October. It's my 40th on the 19th Oct which, coincidentally, is also my daughter's 8th birthday and I was allowed to pick a number plate for the new bike so I went for the last thre letters CNE (my kids names are Corey 'n' Elysia).

Why is any of that relevant?

Well I always wanted a bike that was a bit special but never thought that family commitments would allow the indulgence. I have loved bikes since I was a kid simply becuause my dad always rode bikes. He never passed his car test so my earliest memories were of my dad's cool machines.

I rode a bit as a teenager but crashed a lot too and only got back into biking 6 or 7 years ago. I wanted my kids to think that their dad's bike was cool and thanks to the Street Triple I can tell you proudly that they do!

I will post pictures and maybe even have a go at some videos as soon as the new toy arrives.

Smile Cool!

Good to see you have the opportunity to involve the kids. Stay alive for them now! Hope the bike is as good as it promises. Have a look on You Tube for some footage of Carmichael playing with the thing ! Pretty ****ed fine!!!
