I've 3 different brands of tyre on the Street Triple, the last ones being PR 3's. They're due to be replaced in the next couple of weeks so thought that a review might be appropriate comparing them with the other two brands for performance and life. Thanks Tremor! Well, even if other Triple riders don't go for a PR3, maybe it'll help to sort out something else which might suit.

I have about 8k on my PR3s and they handle the PNW with ease. No worries at all and excellent wear.

Just got pr3 put on my bike. First observation is the extra amount of road noise coming from the tyre. No doubt comes from all the sipes on the tread. Saying that, I've heard nothing but praise from those who've had them on their bikes, from busa's, zx14's and vtr sp1.
So far I'm impressed. Hope it stays that way

I got roughly 6500 out of my stock Pirellis and replaced them with PR3s. Night and day difference. As I'm a daily rider in all weather, there is a HUGE difference in wet weather. Even in slippery conditions, I've found the two slides I've had we're manageable and the bike maintained itself until I got traction back.

I'll be getting another set after these wear out. My only complaint is that my area doesn't have more curved roads to keep the tire from flattening out prematurely due to upright riding.
