One of the cheaper and easier options these days is to vinyl cover the bike - you can basically get any color or pattern that you can dream of. Looks like it has been painted on there. It's also hard wearing.

If you are handy you can do it pretty easily yourself (particularly on a bike where all you need to do are the rear plastic bits, the tank, and the front fender).

The best part? When you are sick of your 'new' color scheme/pattern - peel it off and you have the original paint underneath. A new 'old' paint job!

The paint was done by a a car sprayer guy I know and cost me £250 or $350 in US money,He has done a really professional job,was a bit worried giving him my brand new bike but am very pleased with the results.As for the wheels I didn't want to have to take off the tyres,so told him to bring the paint to about 1" from the edge,this has had the benefit of leaving the rim with the original powdercoat.Al;so planiing to put on these rim stickers
