DanMoto Baffles

Just installed a set of Dan's and it's not overly louder than, say, a pair of Leo Vince slip ons.

1. Roughly how much of a decibel increase can one expect after pulling the baffles?

2. How much of a pain is it to remove them, and do you bang 'em out of the back of the pipe from the front of the silencer, or pull 'em out toward the front?

Thanks in advance.

They are 'perforated ear-drum' loud without baffles and the police will quickly notice you; I strongly advise leaving them in, but you can tap them out with a long rod from the outlet end. With the high-mount exhaust location the rider's helmet greatly amplifies the loudness to the point of hearing damage so ear-plugs inserted tightly into the ear canal (not just the outside part of the ear) must be used. - Wayne

I had the unbaffeld conical set for months before installing the baffles, yes it was loud but nice sound, really felt no big difference in sound and proformance, just get them mapped out,
Best pipes I found for my street triple, hand made gives them a custom look, great looking but they sound even better.

I'm with Wayne...leave'm in; you'll be glad you did. Given the design, though, you should be able to take them out and, if you don't like the results, just pop them back in.

I'll probably remove 'em in a month just to compare. I'm really surprised at how relatively quiet these things are from the reputation. Around here, Harley is king and I've never once seen a ride get ticketed for a noise violation.

This may be the last year in CA to run anything you want for exhausts, get them while you can, I haven't hear anyone getting stopped or ticketed for loud pipes, most like the sound themselves, exept in a few city's they'll get the uncapped Harley's,
Loud is safe.
