Maybe if we just use the £100 price increase conversion, we can assume the R version will be about $9750?

Anyways, here in canada, the 2012 was $11200, and the $2013 is exactly the same.

From what I understand, it doesn't work that way. Just because it costs X in one country, that doesn't mean you can just convert X to dollars. The price can include taxes, tariffs, etc. that are country specific so you pretty much have to wait until US pricing is announced.

Interesting that the article notes the Street Triple has received the (assumed) taller first gear from the Daytona to " make the bike easier around town" personally I feel the taller first gear in the current Daytona makes it harder in stop and go traffic, around town, or two up starts ???? Probably a cost cutting measure so they can produce only one gear set for both bikes and they just call it an "upgrade".

Wonder how much they have hurt throttle response to net a claimed 30% reduction in fuel use in urban conditions and by 12% at 60mph ?

With all the changes the only way to keep MSRP down is to cut parts or manufacturing costs. Pretty easy to see many more parts are now shared between the bikes.

.

I doubt it'll be 12k$ . It'll either stay at $9500 or maybe $9999 . At 12K it's Speed Triple territory .

I would bet you are close. A sales manager told me a week or so ago he expected the price on both models to go up about $200.
