Anyone use these SW-MOTECH Bags-Connection Blaze Sport Saddlebag System???
Hey does anyone use the SW-MOTECH Bags-Connection Blaze Sport Saddlebag System??? I am looking for a setup for commuting/weekend trips. I need to be able to fit a 17inch laptop and a few other things here and there. Also the $400 pricetag isnt too bad but i wanted to get some first hand opinions.

Also, anyother suggestions???

I've got a Givi TE705 (bag mount) on the bike and TPH10 bags on order. Not sure your laptop would fit in either the Givi or the SW-Motech bags. You might have to go with a topcase for that.

I have used an SW Motech, tank bag with connecting ring on an Aprilia, the products are well made.
This systems seem good, I don't like the look of the frames, but there are always trade offs.

Here are the bag dimensions for you so you can figure out if it fits:

You are correct. They are quick-release. The carrier for this particular bike is a lot more involved than on most of the bikes we have designed them for. Due to the dual exhaust we had to create a larger framework to insure that the bags stay off of the hot pipes. But you can get rid of it by turning two quick-release fasteners on each frame.

Very cool.
Do you have any hard mount luggage recommendations for Street Triples with a lowboy exhaust, where the two stock exhaust canisters have been removed? I've wondered if the other Blaze Saddlebag system could be adapted to fit the Street Triple's passenger peg hanger:

I'd imagine that something similar is going to be developed for the 2013 Street Triple, now that it is using a lowboy exhaust as stock.
Thanks.

Hi Deckard.
There are currently no plans to build a side carrier for hard luggage for the Street Triple. The Blaze Bag System uses the passenger peg mount to attach the frame to the bike. It actually clamps to the heel guard on the footrest. Here is our project bike with yellow powder coating. It makes it easier to see how the system works:
If you want to really see how it works download the installation instruction from the product page. There are great illustrations that really bring it home.
I do not know the plans for the 2013 but it seems like a no-brainer. I would expect to see the Blaze bags for the '13.

Thanks. Are you saying the system above would work on a Street Triple that is using a low mount exhaust system like the Arrow 3-1 below?
Since those racks look like they are designed to fit around the stock exhaust, I'm just wondering if there are any fitment issues when the stock exhaust is not there, or if the setup would just look kind of weird.
If there were an existing Blaze quick release mount arm that fit the Street Triple with a low-mount exhaust like below, I would definitely be in the market:

No really. I am unsure at this point. It does look like it MIGHT work though. Take a look at the pictures below and you tell me what you think.

There shouldn't be. The mounting points do not use exhaust or any like mounting points. See image below.

There is nothing designed for use with a low-mount system but that doesn't mean that this one won't.

It's great to have a twistedthrottle guy on the site, Kevin! Any word on when Givi's going to start shipping the redesigned TPH10 bags?
