I was looking into clips on for my triple. Yours look awesome. I was looking at my friends daytona and was wondering if I could use a top triple tree from a daytona instead of just clip on?

Thanks guys.

Not sure if you can just direct swap a D675 onto a Street - or Speedie but i have seen it done.

No, the geometry is different, you would have to change out the entire tree which would make the ST3 more skittish and a steering damper, even the basic D675 unit a good idea.

If you have the $$ to spend Twins Shack has billet trees in the stock Street Triple geometry without holes for top mounted bars.

I'm a little confused, perhaps someone can readily clear it up for me. Why couldn't you just install a set of the woodcraft slip-ons? The top clamp would not need to come off. Was all these clearance issues brought about by the use of the Apex riser-style clip-ons?

No, clearance issues come from the fact that the instrument cluster is mounted too close to the triple clamp. If you look at a Daytona, there is more room for the clip-ons to move.

OK - that makes sense. Perhaps fab a new cluster mount or get a D675 cluster mount?

Simple solution that should work in this thread:

http://www.triumphrat.net/street-tri...eadlights.html

£70 plus shipping is a lot for what it is, I will most likely fab something up for a whole lot less.
