computer reset itself

Has anyone else had their bike's computer reset itself? Basically, it was as if the battery had been disconnected. Computer history, time, trip meters all reset.

Based on the time on the clock when I started it up the Thursday morning, it looked like the thing reset around the time I shut off the bike the night before. It was out in the rain that day, but everything was fine riding home.

Any ideas?

It's turning into a Ducati? (Sorry that's not very helpful).

I'd start from the basis that what looks like the effect of battery disconnection may have been just that.
Check your battery terminals are clean and firmly tightened use some vaseline to keep them from corroding. Check the fuses and the main connector plug on the back of the clocks for secure fit and cleanliness.

I hope it's not the Ducati answer.

Fine after the last heavy rainfall I rode through... so I guess I'll just keep paying close attention.

On top of that, I noticed a clear oily substance on the ground under the front edge of the engine. Have to remember to take a flashlight down for a better look. Or just take it in for warranty service.

If it set your ODO back to zero, you'd be cool with that!
