Auxiliary lights...

Hello there fellow Street Triple riders!

I have a question about auxiliary lights.

what are the smallest auxiliary lights in the market?
can the Street Triple take auxiliary lights?
does it have enough power for them?
Have any of you added auxiliary lights to your Street Triple?
...if yes, which ones?

I am thinking to add some auxiliary lights to my Street Triple.
want something small, and bright.

You don't need auxiliary lights and the hassle of installing them. Replace the stock headlight bulbs with GE Nighthawk Platinum H4 bulbs ($60 pair same watts); these suckers are white and bright with a hint of blue in the daytime. I've noticed that other drivers see me more quickly and don't pull out in front of me. - Wayne

Yes you can run auxiliary lights and the ones I would recommend are actually LED and only draw like 10-15watts a piece. They provide great light.

I would link to some but really there are tons of options. I hope this points you in a new direction as there are a ton of good options. My dad actually runs a set on one of his bikes and they are brighter then the stock headlight and I think he paid under $100.

Hi there,

yes. I installed and LED from Vision X. through Vsioionx wholesale.
Installed a Soltice prime solo 10w very bright and small that only draws 0.83 amp. (got the 20 degrees beam, maybe 10 degrees could be better to see more far ahead, but still is really good).
installed a dedicated on/off switch with a harness to the battery.
with a "y" connection to have a regular colored led to indicate when my LED light is on. (before adding the extra indicator led, left my auxiliary led light on).
attached to the lower fork clamp with a home made bracket just under the headlights

really nice to use at night, in the fog, and as day running light.

Never thought of adding just a single. Always have seen them in pairs. An interesting and innovative, as well as cost saving idea!

In addition to Vision X LED,
I am running a pair of Osram Rallye 70/65w...they do run a little hotter.
remember that the H4 in our triples are 65/55w..
