3>1 Arrow Getting Louder ?

I m not sure if its just because Im getting older or because the baffling is starting to deteriate, but I m sure my 2 y.o. Arrow is getting louder. Anyone pulled one apart and know what type of packing is in there?

Can't help with the internals but mine is certainly louder in one respect once it is warmed up.
After giving the bike some beans for 10 or 20 minutes the popping and crackling on the overrun is very much more enjoyable.

The packing in any exhaust will deteriorate over time. It happens to 'em all, but if it starts out more raucous, it will deteriorate faster because there's less packing to start with.

Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon.

I don't think mine has got any louder after 16k miles but it seems to pop and bang a bit more. Can a ecu go out of tune and might need a re-map again?

Wait untill your next 12k mile service ,a possible valve adjustment may correct this , no you don't need to reload the map.

I seem to remember the cans on the Ducati I used to own were supposed to be "repacked" every so many miles.
