Took a test ride ... put my money down!

Took a test ride on a brand new 2010 Street Triple R and that was that -- I put down a deposit on a black one, which is due to arrive sometime "early in the new year".

I rode in on my 2004 MV Agusta F4 Brutale 750, I think I'll keep her (assuming I can buy enough jewelry to keep my wife at bay) but I really enjoyed the ride on the R. The main difference for me was that the R was more refined, very smooth and quick throughout the RPM range, and very comfortable. I had to keep it pretty mellow, as the bike was still well in the break-in period of course and I wanted to respect the dealership, who was nice enough to allow me to take the bike out.

Looking forward to my black R come January or February, now about that accessory list ....

Congrats on your decision. I have no doubts you'll be completely satisfied with it.

I'm a bit jealous of the R owners. I bought a black 08' without the adjustable suspension. I can compensate for it with softer tires and lower, but not abnormally low, pressures but I still wish I had those adjustable ones.

Get ready for its arrival and have fun when you get it.

Indeed - post pictures when you get it! The black on gold I would imagine is incredibly sexy (just like on the 08 Daytona SE).

And remember the most important thing about the Street Triple(R) - it will turn you into a hooligan whether you like it or not!
