Black fender on Matte orange R?

front fender was shattered in a deer attack.

I like the look of the matte orange, but caring for it is a PITA (I use a magnetic tankbag.) But I am thinking about getting the replacement fender in black from the non-R STriple.

1- Is it the same part?
2- Any issues with brake lines?
3- Black and orange go well together, right?

I have absolutely no sense of style with colours, but I like the idea of matching the rest of the bike's blackness. I even considered a set of the Arrow rearsets to get rid more shiny bits! (I like rearset riding positions too.)

Greg.

My husband has a 'blazing orange' speed triple and his front fender got damaged so he painted it 'flat black'. It looks good.

I don't think the shiny black wouldn't look very good with your matte finish, it doesn't look good with the shiny orange (he tried the black flyscreen).

My 2 cents: It is such a great color, the more matte orange the better. That is why my plan is for the belly pan and the fly screen without the visor.

I agree with Pablo. The picture that came out showing the Phantom and the Orange side by side, the Orange had the side radiator pieces also in orange and I thought it looked really good. More Orange does look better.

Of course Orange is the most obvious choice but I don't think a carbon front fender would look too bad. Black, grey and shades thereof go with everything given that they are 'shades' rather than colours. I did this mock up on the Triumph accessoriser website...
