I've got an 'R', so I know it is different to standard, but the schematics you show there don't match mine and I thought that the 'R' was supposed to be the same system as the Daytona, so could there be 3 different mounting systems?
Could you post some photos showing what's wrong?

Cheers,
Jason

This is the master cylinder for the Daytona and is pretty much the same on the R.

The problem I think I'm understanding is that you bought a remote reservoir for your standard Street Triple which has a master cylinder and reservoir all combined as one unit. If you want to use a remote reservoir then you need to get a completely different master cylinder like the ones the Daytona and the R have. Basically the entire assembly (#1) in the link above.
