Another one bites the pavement

Hello all,
Looking for some advice, took a spill on my triple r, avoiding a vehicle that hit his brakes while I was shoulder checking for a pass, luckily only doing about 60k, hit the meridian curb and bent the gear shift pedal, that I had to shift with my heel to get it home, bent the handle bars scraped the from rim slightly, exhaust cover, rear foot peg and from caliper. Anyways, would it be easy to straighten the bars myself and would I have to order the replacement parts from a dealer or can I online somewhere, I have been searching with little luck.

Cheers,
Peter

If the handlebars are just twisted in relation to the forks, you can straighten them out yourself. I had to do it a couple weeks ago when my wife knocked over my bike. Take off the handlebars and take off the clamps. If the bolts aren't bent, you shouldn't have any trouble putting it back together straight.

Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing. But they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

You'll also find a thread in this forum that lists sources for both OEM and aftermarket online parts sources.

(Sorry to hear about the mishap.)
