STipleR my Mods

I finally got around to taking photos of with all the stuff on her. Never mind the dirt and bugs haven't had much of a chance to clean in the last few weeks. If anyone has questions or requests for information or alternative photos let me know.

Fly Screen and Visor Kit

Belly Pan

Triumph Bar End Mirrors

Givi Protection Bars (Seem like a good strong alternative to slider pucks)

Fenda Extenda (Gotta have this unless you like crap thrown up from your tire onto the radiator)

Pyramid Tire Hugger ( I chose this because I think it offer the best coverage of any hugger I've seen for the Street)

Tech Spec Snake Skin Tank Pads (These actually designed for the Daytona but with a little modification they fit the lines of the Street)

Heated Grips with custom switch in left switch housing (I have a ton of photos on how to do this but decided not to post because it really takes a high degree of competence in customization and building wiring harnesses. If someone really wants to see the photos and wants help doing this I'll start another thread and do what I can to help.)

R.A.M. mount for GPS, Camera, whatever.

Rim Stripes black reflective tape (I prefer that they bend during the day as I like black wheels. The photo doesn't really show how well they stand out when a light hits them at night.)

AutoSwitch connected to a garage door opener. Two headlight flashes and the door opens or closes.

Oh and the deer whistles. :-)

Lookin' good McB. I thought the Daytona and Striple had the same fuel tank? How are they different, or is it the way the seats meet up to the tank that required the mod to the TecSpecs? How are you liking them, BTW? Do they get grimy looking?

It's just the way the seat meets the tank. I really like them they grip well. Once and a while I get bugs in the grooves and I have to use a brush to clean them. Other than that they don't really show dirt and they are actually dark grey so they match the bike well.

Thanks there's about 6 hours into wiring alone for the heated grips, auto switch, and I have a accessory outlet under the seat. All are connected to a relay under the seat. The heated grip switch has high and low as well. You can call it a labor of love I guess. I love to wire accessories especially fabing wiring harnesses. It's one of those jobs that you know you've done right when no one knows anything was done until you point it out.

Wow, wow, and wow. Outstanding. I wish I had modification talent... looks great, MacB.

Do the deer whistles actually work?? I had some on an old truck of mine for exactly one week before I took a big old buck out with it...

Hmm deer whistles. Well. How do you know if they work? If they're working then in theory you don't see deer or they just don't jump out in front of you. My theory is it's more a good luck charm (much less annoying charm then the bell some bikers have). For $20 if they work great if they don't meh. If they save you from one deer they've more then paid for themselves even if you don't know they saved you.

I can tell you that Sav-A-Life has a patent for a specific frequency that is supposedly the only frequency that deer really respond to. Apparently there is some truth to it as they have been successful at suing other deer alert manufacturers that claim to have an affective frequency even if it's not the same frequency Sav-A-Life uses. http://www.sav-a-life.com/default.htm
