Street Triple R track handling?

I'm curious if any of you take your street triple/r to the track and how does it handle? Is there any comparison to something like a supersport 600? Any clearance issues?

I have a non-R that's been on the track once. The suspension is a little soft for all out at my weight; but it gets the job done reasonably well.

As far as clearance issues; i've yet to scrape the pegs and there's been a few points where I could have put a knee down with minimal hang off. Well, I lied. I can scrape a peg (found out the scary way) when hanging off turning right, going down hill at the front of my neighborhood.

Compaired to a "sport 600". They've got a little advantage over me. Better brakes almost always and usually adjustable suspension. But at the end of the day it's going to come down to the rider. The hardest part about the Striple for me is it's love (any mine I guess) for wheelies in 1st and 2nd.

Here's the chicken strips form jusy daily driving and back roading... I've already sqaured this tire off so I'm trying to take it easy on it.

Thanks for the great response. I'm most likely getting the Street Triple R in a couple weeks. I got my first bike a few months ago and I'm itching for something new already. I tested the Street Triple and Daytona out and was extremely uncomfortable on the Daytona when in traffic and moving slow. The Street Triple was great though so I think it'll be better for me...80% street riding.

Now that is a beautiful thing... I'm often tempted to put mine on the track as well. Got a few buddies down here in SoCal that track regularly on their bikes (GSXR600, R1) that have been egging me on to join them. Too scared to risk my baby though... perhaps I'll start in the C group just to get used to her on the track first.
