Street Triple R Aggressive Handlebars

I'll most likely be getting a Street Triple R soon and after the test ride, I feel like the riding position was a little too compact. I tried a search, but didn't find an answer to my question. Are there any bars that I can put on that will put me a little bit more leaned forward? I will be getting the flyscreen too.

Bars for street triple R

I have a 09 Street triple R. I have had It for 3 weeks. I owned dirtbikes before and I bought this R for my first street bike because of the riding position, looks, and performance. Any 1 1/8 Dirtbike bar will work on your Street Triple R and there are many different bends, colors, and manufactures. This is a link to my favorite bar company http://www.protaper.com/index.html

As I found out; you're kind of limited on bars with the fly-screen on it. Get too low or too far forward and either the bars or the controls (mirrors etc) will hit the fly screen.

Too low or too forward handlebars

That is nice to know if I get a flyscreen. My bike is a stock R without the flyscreen. So, if I ever want to put on aftermarket dirtbike bars I shouldn't go to drastic on the bars with a flyscreen. Thanks for the info. Without the flyscreen I should be able to put almost any dirtbike 1-1/8 bar on there as long as the cables and hoses reach and the controls don't contact the gauge assembly. Good to know. Thanks again.

With out the fly screen you could put probably anything you want on it. Clip-ons...whatever..

has anyone seen or rode a striple with clipons? I am a fan of the standard position as well as the tucked in aggressive position, my old Suzuki has cafe bars. Anyway just curious as to opinions on clipons

I haven't seen one with clip-ons. The only thing I could see as a problem would be the mirrors. But if you're on track you won't need or want them.

Some past handle bar threads for reference. Maybe these will provide a starting point. Many others have sidetracked onto the subject for a time as well, so a search of this forum will turn up quite a few mentions of handlebars.
