Need Stripple info

I am considering buying a Street Triple and am curious as to what it is like on extended highway use. What is it like at say an indicated 75 or 80 MPH. What are the RPM's there, how are the vibes, what is the wind blast like ? I had a Speed Four, I loved it once I got to the twisty stuff but the hundred miles of highway to get there was quite hectic. Any info is surely appreciated.

Have had mine for 5 months and my commute to work is about 30 miles, most of which is freeway. I do have the fly screen with moulded visor but I haven't ridden the bike w/o to say how much a difference they make.

At an indicated 80 mph, my bike is turning about 7K. No vibes, decent (for what it is) protection from wind blast and I'm comfy as far as riding position (I'm 5'9").

The seat however is a sore spot, no pun intended. About 100 miles is my squirm point and I'm going to try and send my seat out this winter to Spencer's in FL to have him work his magic on it.

I love my Striple. I just have the painted visor on mine. Windblast is not bad really, you get used to it. I love having the wind in my face. I have ridden 2400 miles in 5 days on it and my butt wasn't as sore as my friends who ride cruisers. Going on a 1200 mile ride tomorrow too.

oh and Generally the RPM's are 1 lower than the speed. Example: 80mph is about 7k, 70mph is about 6k. You get it. The vibes are not bad at all, the pegs vibrate a bit at that rate, but I always say it's like a massager for your feet.

Thank you both, the other bike I'm considering is the Kawasaki Versys. I presently ride a Kawi ZZR1200 which I use for touring but the thing's a beast. Realistically, you don't need that much power and you can't use it but for a few seconds in this country. The R version has me drooling.

It definitely gets windy, but you get used to it. Can't remember what RPM's, but the vibes are ok. Not buzzy.

The Street Triple is one of the best all around fun rides I've owned. That said I use my Moto Guzzi with fairing and bags for all distance riding. My Triumph is used for day rides and an occasional overnight trip. It is fine at 70-80mph with a fly screen and visor. I have the gel seat and while it's better than the stock seat it is far from ideal when it comes to touring. I just returned from an 1800 mile ride on the Guzzi. I would not have been able to make the trip on my Street Triple. No proper storage and not the ideal riding position for a week in the saddle. It is still my go to bike when I need a solid dose of two wheeled fun. JMHO
