That would explain why there are two dates floating around. That would also explain why I've been told I'll have mine in the next month or two. I've told them I don't care which color as I don't really like either of them. I would prefer to have a white one.

New to street riding

Howdy,

I'm new to street bikes. I've owned dirt bikes, but never a road bike, so I know a little about bikes, but not a lot at all about road bikes. I love the looks of the Street Triple, and it fits my needs and interests. I understand the newest iteration has better brakes and adjustable suspension. I'm going to spend the winter taking my time, shopping around. I went into a dealer in Columbus, Ohio recently, and he told me he wouldn't let me test ride a bike, "unless all the paperwork was already filled out." He said most dealers were that way. Is this true? Why would I spend 8 thousand beans for something I haven't ridden, or even heard started up? I know lots of info, but I'm new to this streetbike stuff and real excited about next spring. Comments please.

hey everybody...I'm only one season into motorcycling and have been in love with the street triple since the first time I saw it. Didn't want to get one for my first bike so I'm currently on a Suzuki DRZ400 supermoto, which is an absolute blast but I feel like I'm ready for something with some more power. I had been eyeing the Suzuki SV650 and the Kawasaki ER-6n but neither of them have anywhere near the style or quality of the Triumph, in my opinion, and the price jump from those to the St3 is well worth it.

I'm not shopping all too seriously just yet, I'm thinking in the next 6 months to a year I'll be ready to pull the trigger.

Hi All soon to be new owner checking in

I am going today to sign the papers on a '09 black Striple. Traded in my VFR for it.
Long time rider, currently own a Benelli TNT sport and want the Triumph as a second bike in case the TNT goes down for parts.

My choices were the 696 the new Monster 1100 or the Street. I chose the 675 for it's light weight short wheelbase.

I was tempted by the M1100 but don't need another high dollar bike in the garage.

Great forum you have going here. I'll poke around and learn lots.

Sad part is I won't see the bike til March. It's going to be a long winter.

They are telling me March for Canada. At least I have the Benelli to ride if we get a few more nice days.

I too will be a new owner soon. I put a down payment on Triple R a month ago and have my 2006 FZ6 on consignment. I'm being told I'll have my bike by the end of November.

Newbie - Lucky Find On Showroom Floor

G'day Street Fans,

I was out shopping for a new bike (Ninja 650r stolen two months ago) and happened to find a 09 ST3 on the showroom floor in Foothills BMW last sat. I had already looked at Duc 696, Shiver SL, and Buel. Fell in love with it and made a spot decision to buy it right there. From all of the posts here not only am I happy for my decision but it looks like I was lucky to find one!

I pick it up today at lunch and I cannot wait to put some miles on it.

Thanks for all of the helpful posts !

Cheers.

Welcome Denver

... and congrats

Can I assume from your name that you are in the States?

I didn't think the '09s had hit North America yet.

I hope you are as it means they will be in Canada sooner.
