Hello all--I've had my 2009 st3 since early September after a 2.5 month wait. Love it! It's my second season and I've upgraded from the Ninja 500. I've only had a chance to put about 600 miles on it in the last three weeks and the weather will probably turn soon...too bad. Can't wait to learn more as I browse through the site. Are there any other women out there that have gotten a st3?

Hello

Hi all! Name's Kevin and this is obviously my first post on here. I've been lurking for a while, but have just gotten an actual reason to post something. Annnyyyywayyy, I put a deposite down yesterday to get my name on the list for a black '09 STripple. Dealer said he'd probably get one in no sooner than around December. Oh well, at least I'm in Texas, so it doesn't really matter that it's the middle of December, still good riding weather.
Thanks for reading and I look forward to finding more and more great info on here.

Another newb here, thanks for the great advice so far. Great board, mature, helpful.

I'm planning on getting a used R next year once someone trades theirs in because they dropped it or it scared the pants off them. Of course, I probably won't be able to wait til mid year...

More a "trynabie" than a "Newbie"

It's tough. There's a lot of good to be said about the Buell XB12Scg for short riders who want a light powerful agile bike that has a low seat. But it's got a huge engine (insurance), and because it is a Harley, it vibrates like hell. And it's 2K more expensive. The Street might well fit the bill though. Just have to get used to the ride height, and ultimately, probably lower it about 20 to 25mm. Hopefully I can find a dealer who will do that for me. My next issue is going to be actually getting the bike. It seems like they take a while to get, and the dealer's I've emailed have been less than responsive. Unlike the Buell ones who have all emailed back. Does anyone know of any good dealers in the Mid atlantic region?

Hi - I'm new here...

Hi -

I'm new here, and to the Triumph world. I recently sold my Buell, and I just put my deposit on a 2009 Street Triple R, which they say I should have by May... seems like a long way off, doesn't it? (but winter coming and our riding season is almost over)

Any other Street Triple riders in the Montreal, Canada area here?

Hi there

I am new to the Triumph group. Got my Street Tripple about a week ago and can't stop smiling. I had a Yamaha Faser 600 for 2 years and only now I realize that it was to heavy to really enjoy riding.

Newbie alert!

Off tomorrow for a test ride of a Street Triple before i put my order in for the Street Triple R.

Gotta wait until Jan 09 before i can even get it though, which is very annoying as I don't do waiting well

How many bets it willl be blizzard conditions on the day I am to pick it up

Is the January 09 still the accepted date when the R will be available? I am on the wait list at my dealership, but it will be a brutally long wait....

No there were several conflicting reports that it would be in November as well as the January date.

I pre-ordered an R about 3 weeks ago and was told November. I went down to my dealer on Tuesday and was told they had just received the official release from Triumph USA and that I would have my bike in the next 2 months.
