Ugh! My first drop
I had my first low side drop while doing a turn (ignored Twist of the Throttle and followed my gut!). The good thing was I only lost a left front turn signal and the brake pedal. Ordering the turn signal should be straight forward but I'm not sure about the brake pedal since I don't know what I should be ordering (is it a part of the rear set?). Any help would be appreciated!

Per Bike Bandit anyway, you could get the brake pedal assembly for 86 bucks. I'm not sure what dealer would charge. Here's the diagram:

Sad Day
It's definately a sad day when you drop your beloved bike. I would go to the dealer and ask them about it. I also think Bikebandit.com has an oem catalog for the street triple, you might just be able to order the break pedal, instead of the whole assembly. At least I know I would try to do that when I was restoring an older yamaha (my first bike). Anyway best of luck but look around, hope you get back to riding your baby soon.

Sorry to hear that you dropped your bike.
but if you don't mind me asking, how did you end up losing your left turn signal and your brake pedal when the brake is on the right (opposite of your turn signal)

Been there!
I just posted the same thing last week on a different thread. My precious ride went down 2 years ago & I can still hear it hit the pavement! It definitely sucks! Luckily only my peg feeler snapped off. WHEEEW!
Best of luck getting it repaired.

Haha yeah, that's exactly what my gf asked when I got home. The bike was laid down on the right side so there are scrapes on the right side handle bar, mirror, and frame slider (and broken brake pedal) but for some reason the left turn signal came off. I think it came off intact but once I pulled the bike up and rode it to the side of the road, a car behind me ran over it. I also have scrapes on my left shin and my left angle aches so I'm guessing that somehow I kicked the left signal off as I "fell" off the bike. My memory is a little hazy; all I can remember was me telling myself "idiot!".

Sampson, very sorry about the drop. It happens.
May I ask a couple ?'s about your mishap? How did it happen? First bike? Your experience level as in how long you've been riding or how many miles you have under your belt, etc. We all, especially us noob's, learn so much when other riders are brave enough to share their ut-oh stories w/ us.
thanks.

My first owie
I have not yet dropped my Triple nor do I wish to ever drop her. Anyway, the only time I droped a bike was when I was first learning to ride, I was having a very hard time getting used to using the clutch. I took my Suzuki C50C out and all was fine, until I was trying to turn into my driveway. It was Ferbuary/March and the roads were sandy/salty from tyrying to get rid of the little snow that was left, I turned right to get into my drive way and i just leaned it a bit to much, and it went over. I luckily caught myself, for the most part, but i scraped a lil of my lower exhaust pipe. It was minimal damage, and if I hadn't known it happened, I don't think anyone else would have been able to tell. The moral of the story is this, take your safety classes, and get licensed. I guess i forgot to tell you that I hadn't had my safety classes yet, and I only had a permit at the time. I took the class later that March and got licensed right after. So far i haven't had any other incidents with laying a bike down.

Glad to share since I'm definitely still a noob. This is my second bike (first was a used kawasaki ex 500). I took the MSF class and then bought the ex 500 to get myself going. I'm very "research" minded so also got the Twist of the Throttle and tried my best to apply the lessons while I rode in the mountains
When the striple came along I got tempted and moved up to it. It was actually easier to ride than my kawi. I'm definitely still having trouble with overriding my gut yelling at me to slow down during entry into tight turns (instead of maintaining reasonable speed and leaning). This was one of the cases when I turned right at an intersection and braked too much. I've only got about 600+ miles on the striple for now.
Now I'm just scoping the classifieds for a left turn signal and a brake pedal. $85 bucks for a new brake pedal sounds kinda crazy
