check engine light

so i was wondering my check engine light came on but the bike is running great, i took off my rear turn signals and now dont have any on the back of my bike just the wires tucked away now and only the rear brake light, i was wondering if this is why my check engine light was on?

No, I don't see any reason why the signals alone should have anything to do with that warning light.

If there wasn't some sort of electrical mishap during the installation (one that is, hopefully, now cleared) to account for the fault light, then the only way to find out the reason for it will be to connect a code reader to the connector under the seat and retrieve the fault codes.

The indication may clear on its own after three full warmup and shutdown cycles, provided there is no further problem, but unless you actually read the codes you may never know for sure why it occurred.

Street,
Did you reconnect the Engine Management System wire? From my experience, I disconnected the Engine Management System connector during the disassemble of the OEM undertail. When I started the bike after installing Carbonuk undertail, the Check Engine light came on the instrument panel. I reconnected the Engine Management connection. It still came on the instrument panel. I called the dealership and they said it was probably a code that had to be cleared. After so many starts (not sure how many), the check engine light didn't light up any more.
