Programmable Shift Lights

Mine is set to SCALE mode and 8,000 RPM. What's the general consensus out there for what suits you best?

Scale is good.... sequential lights to change up point.

If bike is run in, change up point set to 12,000 rpm works for me.

On the road, you see blue lights on dash and you are probably having too much fun.

On the track, if you don't see blue lights, you are not trying hard enough!

Take this advice at your own risk...... I am a Collingwood supporter!

Its a gimmick which is pretty much useless(in my opinion anyway). If u are looking at the blue lights to/while change(ing) gears, then u shouldnt be riding a streety.

I like this answer though

Your right I guess it's pretty useless in practice but just another cool gimmick to have. What's with all the Collingwood supporters on here

Good question. I've been feeling a bit of team spirit myself, and I'd never even heard of them before tonight.

I have mine set up for scale and at 12,000 rpm and they've been useful from time to time.

I had them set lower durring the break in just so I wouldn't over rev the engine.

I never had the patience to jack with setting them up. Dealer turned them off at delivery and that's where they are at now. If I always shifted at a certain rpm then I might set them up, but I usually let my mood tell me when to shift. As far as haveing them come on at the rev limit, I doubt I'll ever rev it that high - I'm not hard on my stuff.

Hi folks.

The whole point of the shift lights is that you don't have to look at them!

You see, or rather, are aware of them in your peripheral vision.

At the kind of speeds that results from 11,000 in fourth, fifth or sixth, the last thing you need is to look down at the rev. counter.

Two Magpie supporters....we'll just have to take over the forum....
and, tomorrow, the world.

Kick and giggle, meh. Go the Eels.

Stuff the bloody shift lights, makes a good hard machine look like a try hard's skyline.

Turn them off and tune the senses into the triple howl.

We will never agree on shift light settings or footy teams, but at least we all know this bike is bloody good.

Have fun, see you out there somewhere.
