Best disconnect the battery, I suppose this is to rule out shorting and damaging the bikes computer system.

Thanks

I guess that is best to follow the instructions, just in case.

Thanks

I would prefer not to use the words snap, crack or pop when dealing with plastics. These parts are pretty tuff stuff, it's just the thought makes me queasy.

Which instructions - did your kit come with instructions? Mine for sure didn't...

Triumph Instruction Website

You should be able to get the instructions here:

http://triumphinstructions.com/

Just enter the part number and click on the language you wish to open.

Hope this helps.

Yep, used the triumphinstructions.com site to get instructions for the flyscreen and windscreen. Installed mine about a month ago and there were no instructions packaged with the parts. Must of been packaged either on a Monday morning or Friday afternoon!

Cool - thanks! That helped. I had almost installed it correctly w/o the instructions, but now see that the rubber seal between the original instrumental panel and it's rear cover is not needed anymore. It will fit either way though...

Is there an online version of the workshop manual as well?

Nowhere legal. But there are sources for the dead tree version if you want to buy one.
