Lowering suspension

Hi
i am new on here, i have just got myself a 1996 Tiger 900, really like it, but i am only 5ft 9" and find it bit high, i have seen lowering kits with lowering links, is this the way i need to go, or is there a better way to get 20mm lower?
thanks
Jason

Easiest and cheapest way is to turn the rear eccentric adjusters 180 degrees, so the rear axle sits lower, this will lower it around an inch.
If you do this, you`ll also have to raise the chainguard at the back an inch, easily done with a spacer, and you might want to lower the front end a little by dropping the forks thriugh the yokes.

I got mine lowered a bit in the front forks. Nothing done in the back. I'm 5'8" and I can touch down the toes of both feet, or I can lean on one side and have a full foot on the ground.

One thing if you have centre stand: its impossible to lift onto it when the rear wheel is turned round 180 deg!
Best thing is to ride the rear wheel onto a 2" block of wood, plus another for the side stand....almost broke my back trying to lift mine
