Here's my new bike... and a question.

New bike, nothing special ABS 2006...

My only concern is the bike doesn't feel right cornering, i had the tires balanced and they're perfect, no balancing needed.

The bike sat for over a month so I'm thinking the tires have flat spots in them, can they be "ironed out" through riding?

Is/was this the first ride(s) after your "get off"?

If so... take it from me, it takes awhile to re-adjust. I hit a deer last July, and I see (imagined...) those buggers jumping at me every time I ride.

Not saying that there isn't something mechanically off, but the mind does play tricks. All part of the survival instinct, I guess.

Have you washed your leathers since your off Kory? Maybe that is what is causing the squishy feeling.

Congrats on the new bike..

Lovely looking piece of kit Kory. Enjoy!

After my off it took me a while to get used to the Tiger. Both confidence on the bike, the fact it was different to the S3 meant subtle differences in handling.

I doubt sitting for a month or 2 would give flat spots.
Check the suspension is set for your weight and the tyre pressures are what you're comfortable with.

Then just give it some time.

Hi Kory,
I agree with Russ.

Also what are the tyres condition like and what are they?

Nice new ride bro.

You will get it right, and I would get as much riding in as I could if I was you matey.

You will get it feeling how you like it I have no doubt.

cheers and congratulations on the nice bike..........blue is my favourite colour too!

Congrats on the new bike! It would take more then a month of sitting to make flat spots on the tires. I agree with the other fellows check ur psi and suspension. You might just need some saddle time to get past your get off.

Kory,
That is one beautiful bike! Congrats on the new Sprint.

Give yourself time to break back into riding since your off. Start slow and relearn the bike.

Do what I did - ride... a LOT! It's the only way to get that "truly comfortable" feeling back. Somewhere, sometime soon, it just reappears.

And then do a track day or two. My first on the Sprint (and since the get-off) is this Tuesday at Infineon (Sears Point). I'm jazzed!

Oh, btw, I admire your taste in bikes. :

How can I set up the suspension myself?

How do I tell what to set the rear settings to? Based off of my weight? Height?

Can the front fork settings even be modified? How?
