Sprint 08 fairing removal

As I d'ont want to crack or break anything,How does the main fairing come off on my sprint after removing all visible screws ?

Just make sure you have ALL the bolts out.

3 X lower fairing to headlight fairing.
2 X underneath the engine joining both sides
1 X at the rear of the side panel near the footpegs
3 X the radiator shrouds - once the shroud is off there is one behind into a bracket off the rad.

You will need to remove the black plastic covers either side of the tank (one has the small cubby box) 2 X bolts. Once removed there is one more bolt underneath that holds the side panel on.

Where your knee would be there is a peg that slids into a rubber grommet - just pull the fairing towards you from the side.

Just take your time and don't force anything.

And when you get the panel off make sure you have somewhere safe and soft to lay it down to avoid damaging it !!!!!

Welcome to the mad house.

Fullchat gave a good description of the fasteners.

I would add one caution: Do not use the chrome swoosh as a handle at any time while manipulating the fairing. The mount points are fragile.

I'd also add to remember where the chrome/ss bolts go and remember where the black ones go and put them back where they came from. The chrome/ss ones have a built in spacer that's there for a reason.
